Established in 1887, The Oxford Ranch is surrounded by 3,600 acres of open meadows, rolling foothills and spectacular views of the Snowy Range, Laramie Range and Laramie Basin.
It’s a working ranch with a Full Blood Wagyu beef herd. Experience the one-of-a-kind flavor of Wagyu beef right where it was born and raised.
The Oxford Ranch Tour
Explore the historic ranch by pickup, from irrigated meadows and open range to sandstone formations and sweeping mountain views. Learn about our Fullblood Wagyu herd, local wildlife, and ranch history dating to the 1860s.

Wagyu & Whiskey Tasting

Historic Barn Tour
Step inside our 1887 horse barn, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Explore its original stalls, distinctive architecture, enormous hayloft, and remarkable restoration story.

Wagyu Burger Cookout
Relax beneath the cottonwoods while we prepare Oxford Ranch Fullblood Wagyu burgers with two sides and cold beverages.

No. We are happy to welcome anyone who wants to experience our historic ranch or barn tours. Since we are just 8 miles south of Laramie, Wyoming, it’s easy for any visitor or resident to make an excursion to The Oxford Ranch.
You also do not need to be a guest to experience our Wagyu & Whiskey offering, although we highly recommend it.
Finally, two experiences are for AirBnB guests only: the Ranch Reset massage session and the Wagyu Burger Cookout.

A guide will take you and your party (up to 8) in a pickup truck from the ranch headquarters up to the highest point on the ranch, with views across the entire Laramie Basin, with short walking stops along the way.
The tour passes through the ranch’s hay meadows, open cattle range, past the original homestead, and up into the foothills of the Laramie Range. You will visit the sandstone arch with signatures by prominent Wyoming historical figures and climb up over 8,000 feet to a beautiful viewpoint.
You will learn about the history of the ranch and Wyoming, local wildlife, and our Wagyu beef cattle operation.
Cold beverages are also included.

The Historic Barn Tour is a walk through the Swedish-construction barn completed in 1887 and on the National Registry of Historic Places.
You’ll see the original horse stalls and glimpse views from the enormous hay loft while learning about the history of The Oxford Ranch and the barn itself as well as the modern Wagyu beef cattle operation running today.
Note that you will need to climb steep stairs to access the hay loft.

You and your party will be treated to a sampling of delicious prime Wagyu beef cuts prepared by an expert local chef. Each sampling will be paired with a fine whiskey to create a truly unique tasting experience.
The Wagyu & Whiskey experience is held in the dining room of the Palmer House, our top-rated lodging refurbished in a classic Victorian style.
After dinner you can relax next to a fire in the living room or look at the stars around the firepit in the comfortable and serene patio area while enjoying a snifter of your favorite whiskey from the evening.
